We have been experiencing delays of 10 minutes+ on the morning run to the School, this is due to increased traffic flow and congestion in Blandford Road Upton, Poole Road Upton and the Creekmoor roundabout from Poole Road. Traffic flow has altered considerably due to the Old Poole Bridge Closure, which, won’t be reopen until July 2017.
I have spoken with the Transport Department at Poole Borough Council who have granted permission to changed the inbound route. This does not affect any of the current pickups or drop offs.
The Coach will now run from Upton cross roads along Upper Blandford Road to the A35 roundabout and along the Upton By pass eastbound turning off at the Creekmoor Roundabout. The pickups will be the same for Creekmoor Lane, Beechbank Avenue and Longmeadow lane. The coach service won’t be travelling along Northmead Avenue, or through Fleetsbridge, but, will rejoin the Upton By Pass at the Roundabout and go Eastbound to the turn off and Canford Heath back on route to the School.
The Bus stops therefore in Poole Road Upton and Northmead Avenue won’t be served .
This change for the Academic Year should put the coach service back on normal arrival time for the mornings.
