Craft Fair and Book Signing by Ann Widdecombe – Sunday 11 October
On Sunday 11 October please come and support local crafters at the Catholic Children’s Society Craft Fair at St Mary’s Church Hall, Wimborne Rd, Poole BH15 2EG (11.30am – 3.00pm) With glassware, pictures, jewellery; cards, cushions, Christmas decorations, pet portrait commissions, homemade sweets and home accessories available there should be plenty of opportunities to get ahead with your Christmas shopping!
At the fair there will also be a guest appearance by the Rt Hon Ann Widdecombe DSG, patron to the Society, who will be signing her books in aid of the charity (another Christmas present for someone?). Miss Widdecombe, best known for her feisty and witty appearances on TV shows such as Strictly Come Dancing, ‘Have I Got News For You’, and most recently for ‘24 Hours In The Past’ has written five novels, the most recent being ‘The Dancing Detective’ in 2014 as well as her autobiography ‘Strictly Ann’.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day with homemade cakes to go with your morning coffee, delicious fresh soup for lunch and cream teas in the afternoon. Of course no event would be complete without a raffle and for the chocoholics amongst you there will also be a chocolate tombola. Any donations to these stalls would be gratefully appreciated to raise as much money as possible for children and their families in their hour of need.
