Magna Carta Assembly

Magna Carta Anniversay Broadcast -Live From The National Archives!#MagnaCartaAssembly

Magna Carta is a big paper full of human rights written in Latin and it is a law for the King and Queen.  You can see the Magna Carta in Salisbury in a special museum. On June 15 1215, the Magna Carta was first published in public and June 15 2015 was the Magna Carta 800th anniversary.

Posh people were the first ones to challenge King John. We saw a live video about the Magna Carter’s 800 anniversary. In the webcast, lots of schools tweeted questions and Matteo asked a question so Mr Howard tweeted it. The question was; “What was it like before the Magna Carta was invented?”.

If you want to see the time line of the Magna Carta, go to Salisbury special museum to find when it started and what happened during the time it was around. During the webcast, Dan Snow told us about how the modern law can be seen in the Magna Carta and how some countries still have problems with not being free and the people are threatened by rulers.

We felt sorry for the people King John robbed money from.  It was a great experience knowing what the Magna Carta was and King John’s history.
