On Thursday 10th March, sixteen SMOG and Eco Club members joined in with the ‘Poole Park Life Volunteer Litter Pick’ in and around Poole Park Lake. The children had a great time searching in the partly drained lake, and surrounding areas, for litter to pick up with their special litter pickers.
‘Our leader, Tony, showed us the best spots to find the rubbish and it was fun walking in the lake!’
‘Our wellies got really muddy and it was great!’
‘We found lots of litter. Hopefully we will stop the birds being killed by the rubbish’.
A special thank you goes to Miss Parker for helping us out on this really worthwhile trip. We hope to help again, and it was such a popular trip that next time we hope to take two mini buses full of Eco Warriors!
