Schools Council Forum

Primary Schools Council Forum

On Wednesday 13th January, I went with some other members of the School Council to the Primary Schools Council Forum at the Civic Centre.

First we took a taxi from school to the Civic Centre. When we arrived, we signed in at the office and made our way to the Cattistock room.

While we waited to start the meeting, we were drawing pictures of things that make us happy.

Afterwards we played games with Peter Cooper who was running the meeting. One of the games was called ‘Cornflakes’.

Before we could play another game, the Mayor of Poole came down wearing her robes and chains. We asked her questions about how being Mayor and personal ones too. After that, we followed her to the Council Chambers and asked her more questions about the Council is run. We were allowed to use the microphones they use in meetings.

Finally we had refreshments and looked at old Poole Park photos. When we were ready to go back to school we had to wait a while for the taxi to come because it was running late.
