Sport Relief 2016

This year we are really excited to be raising money for Sport Relief 2016! As one of
the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to
help change lives. The money we raise for Sport Relief goes to projects in the UK
and around the world, helping vulnerable people build a better future for themselves.
To find out more about Sport Relief visit sportrelief.com/schools.

St Mary's Catholic Primary School has decided to get involved and help raise money
for this incredible cause. To do our bit, we are asking the children to come to school
on Friday 18th March dressed in their favourite sports kit, uniform or sporty type
clothes. In return we ask for a suggested donation of £1 which will then go to Sport
Relief.

We will also be using Sport Relief as a teaching opportunity so that the children can
learn about the issues other children across the world face, and how the money we
raise can help them.

Sport Relief Swimathon

Twelve children from Year 4 to Year 6 (and one teacher!) are taking part in a sponsored swim at Rossmore Leisure Centre, on Sunday 20th March, for Sport Relief. The children will be divided up into three teams and each team is hoping to swim 60 lengths. If you would like to go and support them, their swim will start at 3pm. They hope to raise as much money as possible for this year’s Sport Relief.
