Who visited Y3 last week?

Last week we had some special pets in our class-one was a tortoise and the other was a beautiful, soft, cuddly bunny. The tortoise had a shell which was as hard as a rock and as shiny as the stars. He moved so slowly that it seemed like he had just  woken up from a long hibernation and had not walked for a long time.

His head, which was smooth and scaly, could slide in and out of his shell and we all had a go at holding him.  We had to be so silent so that we did not scare him. Also, most of us watched him eat a crunchy, crimson apple.

Next, we waited to see the rabbit (who was like a hare but hares are larger and taller for jumping up).  He kept twitching his damp nose like someone about to sneeze. His fur was very smooth and soft and he liked to cuddle up to us.  In the winter, when it's colder, his fur changes colour so he can be camouflaged.

We saw these creatures because we are learning the fable of the hare and the tortoise.

Our day, which was amazing, was really enjoyable.

P.S. Have a look at my AMAZING home project that I did over the summer!!!
