Year 5 Concert

Dear Parent/Carers 

I am writing to tell you about an exciting new musical project that all the pupils in year 5 will be involved in this term.

I have been given the opportunity to take part in a large community World War 1 Commemorative Concert at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC). This will take place on Thursday 19^th March 2015. There will a variety of musical performances on the night and St. Mary’s will be taking 60 children to be part of a 400 strong children’s choir. Over the next ten weeks I will be teaching the children a variety of songs within their music lesson.  Each child will be sent home the words to all the songs to be learnt off by heart.

There will be two performances during the day -one at lunchtime and one in the evening. There will also be a rehearsal on a Sunday, but as of yet I have no further details – I will contact you as soon as I know more details.
