500 Words 2019

5th February 2019
The world's biggest short-story writing competition for children has returned. Radio 2’s 500 words competition opened on Wednesday. It’s super simple. All entrants must write an original story, no more than 500 words in length, and submit it online. It can be about ANYTHING you want – space-ships, grannies, insects, microwaves. The list is endless! Stories are judged anonymously, without regard to grammar, punctuation or spelling. The competition culminates in a broadcast extravaganza of live music and sensational story-telling every summer. This year it will be at Windsor Castle. We are happy to submit entries using the multiple uploader if you would prefer.

The closing date is Friday 7th March so please encourage your child to get writing.

Last year one of our pupils received a certificate of excellence, maybe this year we can go further! For more details please see
