Friday 11th March

10th March 2022
Why is this happening?
How can we help?
Small actions make a big difference.
We have been touched by the love and concern shown by the children towards the people forced to flee Ukraine. Many have been writing prayers and producing artwork expressing how they feel. Many have stated a wish to help in more practical ways.
On Friday 11th March
Children may come in to school wearing blue and yellow clothes, instead of school uniform, in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
They may wish to bring in a physical or cash donation.
We have a list of items that are urgently required for Ukrainian refugees:

First aid (bandages, antiseptics)

Sleeping bags

Power banks

Brand new underwear for women, men and children

Baby food

Energy bars for adults and children

All donations, of any size, will make a real difference to people whose lives have been turned upside down.

The power of prayer

Loving God,
We pray for the people of Ukraine,
for all those suffering or afraid,
that you will be close to them and protect them.

We pray for world leaders,
for compassion, strength and wisdom to guide their choices.

We pray for the world
that in this moment of crisis,
we may reach out in solidarity
to our brothers and sisters in need.

May we walk in your ways
so that peace and justice
become a reality for the people of Ukraine
and for all the world.
