St Mary's PTA

Registered Charity No. 1058993

As you may know, the PTA at St Mary's is a small but very dedicated group of parents, teachers and carers who create events which add fun to the school and also help out financially, where the school is restricted by funding.

After 6 years of service to St. Mary’s, the majority of the committee will be stepping down at the end of the academic year due to their children moving onto secondary education. As a result, a new committee is needed who could work alongside them this year and then take over next year.

We know that everyone is busy but 'many hands make light work' so if you are interested in becoming a member of our PTA and raising funds/putting on events for the children, they would like to invite you to contact the school office to see how you can get involved.

If you don't wish to sign up to become a full committee member but you are able to offer a little time to help now and again, your contribution will be hugely appreciated.

The PTA are very friendly and have children in all year groups, from Foundation to year 6, so why not join them and make yourself some new friends too!

If you have any questions you can contact message them via their Facebook Group (St Marys Catholic Primary PTA Poole).

They would love to hear from you!

As parents you are automatically a member of the PTA but we have a dedicated and enthusiastic committee made up of parents and staff. We aim to raise money for specific projects and for smaller items by organizing fun events for the children and encouraging everyone to participate in the school community.
Some of the events held  were the Summer fair, Christmas sparkle, leavers disco, KS1 and KS2 disco’s which are always very popular with the children. We also support the music department by providing refreshments at the Summer and Christmas concerts and the nativity plays.
Funds raised from these helped us reach our £10,000 target to help buy the minibus, purchase some fantastic samba equipment for the music department, costumes for the nativity, play equipment and subsidising school trips.  The latest purchase is the 10-ft Christmas tree and decorations.
We are currently talking to our local Sainsbury's store about working with the community on future projects.
We always welcome new ideas so please get in touch if you any suggestions on fundraising events.
As ever we are only successful because of your support so if you can help at events please come forward!
