The Governors of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School Poole are seeking to appoint a positive and inspiring Administrative Officer to start as soon as possible to cover a maternity absence. They are keen to accommodate the best candidates who will make a positive impact on our school and standards. Applicants with a background in finance, previous experience in a busy office and excellent numeracy skills are encouraged to apply. This role will be offered on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave for a period of up to 12 months.

Midday Assistants
 
St Mary’s Catholic Primary School would like to recruit excellent Midday Assistants to join our wonderful and supportive midday team. 
The role of the Midday Assistant is a vital means of supporting children in enjoying their lunchtimes. 
The hours are Monday to Friday 12.00 p.m - 1:00 p.m or 12:20 p.m - 1:20 p.m  term time only, although there is a requirement to attend some INSET days for training. 
The hourly rate for this role starts at £11.59. 
Duties may include: 
1.Supervision of and providing first aid to the children on the playground. 
2.Preparing the lunch hall for each service. 
3. Attention to excellent hygiene practise.
4. Serving the off-site prepared school meals.
5. Assist in the dining area and encourage pupils to eat their chosen meal. 
6.To encourage good eating practices and assist by cutting-up of food for younger age groups. 
7. Clearing the dining areas and servery after each service.
 
 You will need to possess: 
• Experience of working with children.
• Ability to relate to children. 
• An understanding and acceptance of the school’s policies and guidelines 
• Have clear and appropriate communication skills 
• Ability to use initiative and work well as part of a team
• Ability to understand, and carry out instructions 
• Aptitude to be first aid trained if not already certificated
