Odd socks and Red!

To start our work during anti-bullying week we have suggested that the children can come to school wearing odd socks on Monday 13th November.

This is to give children the opportunity to express themselves and appreciate individuality and uniqueness! Please do not feel you are required to purchase anything new for this. During the week the children will be coming home with a child friendly anti-bullying policy. Please take the time to sit with your child and share its contents.

In addition to odd socks, our newly formed school council would like to invite your child to also come to school wearing something red.

This is to mark ‘World Kindness day’ which is also on Monday 13th.

Some tips for you to mark the day might be:

  • To send an uplifting text message to a friend or family member.
  • Let someone merge into traffic with a smile and a wave.
  • Treat someone to a coffee-even a stranger!
  • Include a moment of intentional laughter and delight in your daily life.
  • Share a compliment with a co-worker.
  • Reach out to a family member you have not spoken to for a while.
Make someone smile every day.

The world is full of kind people, if you can’t find one-be one!
